I always value Nick's strategies
have to go networking
Thanks again Nick. This is a fantastic video series! Very helpful!
Just been to my first netwoking meeting it was daunting I am looking forward to the next where I will be much more confident armed with your information
VERY GOOD INFO
The video is superlative
Excellent advice, I think I typify the individual who wonders what they are doing at networking events, sometimes they work sometimes not. I will take the advice offered and give it a try at the next event I attend and see what results it brings. Thanks
Best networking advice be specific on targets i.e could anyone introduce me toPeter Brown the Bursor at St Johns College Oxford
Makes me WANT to go out and network, rather than avoiding it
I don't do networking. I am very keen to try out your questions.
Well done. You gave our marketing team a very timely idea of how to deliver a new product/service nationwide and make it viral. Much appreciated
We've been to networking events before and just had the usual information - not your strategy - but I did get a person interested herself and she brought quite a bit of business our way. However, I do like your strategy and will try harder at these networking events.
How to structure a meeting into a longer term relationship
As always very informative best strategy was to offer a stationery pack at a very competitive price especially appealed to start up situations
the contents is valuable to marketing executives who wants to improve their networking strategy
I'm usually shy until I've been involved with a group for three or four meetings, and that doesn't always bode well for networking events. Will try your "soft" questions at my next event. I'm usually very good once the conversation gets going, but getting it started is sometimes a struggle.
I have never networked beofre but I can imagine using the questions will definetly stimulate conversation and get more business
The best thing I have done at networking functions is to plan who I'm going to attack. Pick about 5 people and "move in". Works every time.
Nick,
I havent tried on networking, the video was of course informative, but what is the right way to introduce yourself and your product when you talk through telephone, how can you can the customer listen to you?
Thanks cards are very effective, less expensive, easy but mostly ignored tools.
I was amazed at the reaction when I joined a group of people at a networking event. I just gritted my teeth , walked up, introduced myself and asked a question ot the person opposite to me. The whole group then expected me to control the conversation. I was stunned. No fear now!!
it was interesting, helped to give me ideas as to which questions to ask.
I enjoy it and want to learn more
Great information. I'm just getting started in sales and this is a great help.
some useful techniques for someone new to networking meetings eg how to start and sustain conversation with a complete stranger
Good series of questions to progress conversation. Looking to find networking meetings - not something I've tried before. Thanks for the help.
bestbest best best best v v bestbestbestbestbestbest
Excellent tips for networking at functions, very helpful and I intend on utilising these at my next opportunity.
Most effective is taking view, like you said, of helping the other person and being interested in him/her.
I ENJOYED THE VIDEO
Always look forward to your emails that are full of info, thanks!!
The Video is super and resourceful.it will be appreciable,if you can send the written one to us. so nice to have contact with your organisation. Thanks and God bless.Amen.
Very good for us!
Hi, this video really hits me hard as i am a poor networking person, infact i stay away as i feel i am hopeless at networking.
I need to invest more time in this technique.
Interesting subject.
Networking is a very effective tool for market recognition and as you said an opportunity to generate new clients and interest in your offerings.
Although invited to various networking events eg BNI, I have failed to get beyond the first meeting .... nothing in it for me. I have probably been asking the wrong questions or NO releveant questions. The video is a real eye opener
Thanks for the interesting material Will use it at the next opportunity
Am usually shy when I go to networking events, from this video I've learnt the right kind of questions to ask that will start up relationships. Ive also learnt how to introduce myself better, than just saying am a printer. Thanks Nick
I enjoyed your video and can see where the questions you recommend can help shy people get out of their shell since the focus is directed at the other person. I will definitely use ths strategy next time I am in a situation where I don't know anyone.
Thank You,
E.
Good ideas with specific content to act upon.
wonderful
Great info. I've found the key is to get the them talking and listen to what they need. I'll get my chance to talk about my business when the time is right.
I loved the specific questions given and the introduction that will most definitely stand out at my next networking event. I only wish I'd had this a week ago!!
New to this...... good networking advise.
I basically try to find out as much about their business as possible. I've developed some good accounts by showing considerable interest in people.
Very good
Excellent reminder to network, an often forgotten skill or option
giving important basics
Thank you.
Good Topic with Excellent Content well done!
We've got no experience in sales, and we never thought about what to ask in regard to networking. Now we know where to start. Thanks.
Outstanding, want to know more
Great points!
Being interested in others and asking what you can do to refer business to them helps their interest in you.
I usually hide away in a corner at events. The soft questions were great.
I've done some networking, but I have generally considered my audience to be "national" rather than local. However, that doesn't mean that there isn't local business. I need to be more proactive in these situations and look for more local opportunities in my local service club, chamber of commerce, etc.
i always make sure that my B card is so impressive that they say wow. Then I can say that that is what we do for our clients
I've never really had a "networking strategy" before but now I have some great direction that will really help.
The questions you presented were of value to me. Networking is new to me and yes, I have left some events thinking I had wasted my time. I will rehearse some of these questions and try them. Thank you so much. I look forward to your next teaching.
Good question in the end to make people think.
This is the second time I view this video and I watched it again more for reinforcement. The most effective strategy I have used in my limited networking experience is that I am naturally friendly, however, that is not enough when I don't feel comfortable in how to join in conversations. At these events most people are always already speaking to others. Thank you Nick.
the video is well ok and educative.... keep it up
Thanks Nick!
Really interesting points... I will try them out and let you know how I get on
Very inspirational tips for networking, will use them for sure!
thank you it is good effort
I am a current memeber of BNI and this really helped me with my 60 sec plug. I would make an offer to taget market but wouldn't let my group know what the value was. I also like the questions when attending other functions. Those are really great questions.
Interesting
Plan on using this info at our next exhibit - provided a number of good ideas I had not thought of
Excellent resource in this video
Thanks for sharing.
Just watched this video and we are joining a networking group later this month and the contents of the video has really give us an insight as to what to expect and how to make the most of the opportunity.
Video CommentNEVER NETWORKED,GOOED ITEAS HOW TO DO IT AND TYPES OF QUESTIONS
Great info, now I will have a definate plan and strategy when networking, Thanks Nick
so good
Thank you cards are a great idea!
Will try it for sure!!.. Thanks Nick
Simply fantastic.
Great thanks.
Most effective networking was introducing myself to a small competitor close to our business who eventually turned to ourselves for all his colour & prestige litho & digital work, becoming a large account within 3-4 months and would always call for advise or recommend us directly.
Great an simple. Again.
Very useful as we have a drive for new accounts
My most effective networking strategy was getting involved in our local chamber; being elected to the board of directors; and then being elected as chairman of the board.
